The availability of the drugs is staggering. Just last week, I spoke to a mother who was struggling to deal with the drug abuse of her daughter, who is a middle school student in Amarillo. Her daughter is buying methamphetamine from other students on her campus and using it regularly.

This Sunday morning, I was teaching the youth, and we had finished our study of Matthew 5:5: "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." As we processed this radical teaching of Jesus, I was surprised by the reaction of the young people in the class.

Already, Renato has launched our first choir that will be performing during our Christmas Outreach Service on Dec. 17th.

For the past 12 months, Citychurch has been gathering the toys and blankets, clothes, books, art supplies, and hygiene items that will fill the gift box of each child. Each gift will be individually packed to meet the specific needs and interests of each child.
